Well... not to put too fine a point on these latest three posts (flag/country/patriotism based), I couldn't agree more.
NOT that I actually want to live anywhere else on the planet besides So.Cal, but REALLY?!! we are SO screwing ourselves with what has been going on since Ronald Reagan and that is the systematic dismantling of our educational system, tax breaks for corporations and the extremely wealthy (which has decimated the middle class), union stripping, and the move toward ever more Facist policies (U.S. Supreme Court ruling that corporations, with their money, have the same free speech as an individual). We are clearly in a post-fact, post-science, post-truth, and post-(real) compassion era... the new dark ages.
